Finally, You Can Use Different Reactions on Facebook

Your Facebook news feed is about to change — drastically. Facebook is rolling out "Reactions," five brand-new emoji to use instead of just the "like" button. It's an alternative to a "dislike" button that people have been wanting for years.

This includes a "Love," "Haha," "Wow," "Sad," and "Angry" emoji that will work across all types of Facebook posts, including pages and advertisements. To use it on mobile, the emoji will pop up as you hold down the "like" button, and on desktop, just hover your mouse over the "like" button.

To get these "reactions" on your phone, you need to update your current Facebook app to the latest version. Once you do, you will begin to see it on iOS, Android, and any mobile browser.

Though it's not a dislike button, it's pretty exciting to finally get a new way of reacting to posts. Zuckerberg echoed these sentiments in a Facebook post when the company was first testing the product. "Reactions gives you new ways to express love, awe, humor and sadness," he wrote. "It's not a dislike button, but it does give you the power to easily express sorrow and empathy — in addition to delight and warmth."
