Ever since the jaw-dropping ending of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season two, fans have been clamoring for any hints about the upcoming season, premiering on Sept. 29. We do know a little about what to expect after talking to the cast at a recent press event — ahead, we've put together 10 reasons to get excited. Plus, you can see newly-released photos of the cast.

1. Skye will now be known as Daisy.

1. Skye will now be known as Daisy.

If one thing's for sure, you should say buh-bye to Skye and hello to Daisy. Chloe Bennet's character will be known as Daisy from here on out and go by the code name Quake. Even the writers have a box in their room where they have to dump money whenever they accidentally call her Skye.

2. Coulson will evolve into "something else."

2. Coulson will evolve into "something else."

Clark Gregg, who plays Coulson, said his character "is evolving into something else every year."

"This is a guy who was really working within a channel for Nick Fury, knew a lot of secrets, and was a company man," he added. "The past two years have been about that getting exploded and having more responsibility than he ever imagined in a world where S.H.I.E.L.D. is under attack."

He's forced to think about his relationships differently, "and I think that evolution is going to continue.”

3. The Inhuman will be key to season three.

3. The Inhuman will be key to season three.

Season three will be all about the fallout from season two, said Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel TV. "And the key to all of that is the Inhuman," he explained, mentioning how characters like Coulson, who lost an arm and has alien DNA inside of him, and Ward, who will be playing more "naughty bits," are all part of the Inhuman storyline.

4. Andrew Garner will (probably) return.

4. Andrew Garner will (probably) return.

When asked about Andrew Garner's character making a return to season three, Ming-Na Wen — who plays his ex-wife Melinda May — said she "definitely" thinks there's room for his character since their relationship will probably be an element in season three.

"Considering that Melinda May made such a strong choice to even take a vacation during a very dire situation, leaving Coulson to handle the bulk of the Inhumans and all the various problems that are existing right now, with Hydra still on the loose . . . she's just trying to figure out what it is that she wants out of her life," Wen said. "Whether S.H.I.E.L.D. is worth sacrificing everything for the way she has, or whether her own personal happiness and finding love again is just as important . . . heck, I would love to have [him] come back for a few episodes."

5. We'll learn more about Lincoln and his tumultuous past.
ABC

5. We'll learn more about Lincoln and his tumultuous past.

"The audience knows very little about Lincoln, as do I, so I think that's going to grow at the beginning," said Luke Mitchell, who plays Lincoln. "He's going to go on a bit of a journey to find out who he is and what he stands for after such a tumultuous end to season two."

As for his backstory? "I don't know exactly what I want it to be, but there were mentions of him having a pretty tumultuous past, so I'd be pretty excited to explore that."

6. Lash, from the comics, will join as an Inhuman.
Marvel

6. Lash, from the comics, will join as an Inhuman.

Fans will see a new but familiar character on the show in season three: Lash, an Inhuman from the comic book. We don't know much else about his role on the show, but in the comics, he's a villain with deadly powers who absorbs and manipulates energy and releases it through his palms.

7. Bobbi and Lance will remain connected.
ABC

7. Bobbi and Lance will remain connected.

Both Bobbi and Lance will try to recover from last season's drama — together.

"Bobbi's been massively injured, so she's going to kind of take a second back and try to figure out what she wants to do. She's a biochemist so she's probably going to end up taking over for Simmons for a while," said Adrianne Palicki, who plays Bobbi.

"Yeah and Hunter's kind of in a tricky situation because she's taken a bullet for him, so he kind of owes her now," said Nick Blood, who plays Lance. "So no matter what he feels or wants to do, he's kind of stuck with her."

8. Daisy and Coulson's team will be called the Secret Warriors.

Bonus: their new plane will be called Zephyr One.

9. Expect even more drama between Mack and Coulson.

9. Expect even more drama between Mack and Coulson.

Henry Simmons, who plays Mack, said that although Mack respects Coulson, he has trust issues with him and doesn't agree with his decisions. "The fact that Mack has problems with people of power will not go away, so there will continue to be conflict between him and Coulson," he said. "I hope that builds because it creates more drama."

10. S.H.I.E.L.D. will make some questionable decisions.
ABC

10. S.H.I.E.L.D. will make some questionable decisions.

More Inhumans mean more drama.

"As we start to encounter these new people [the Inhumans], we'll see how they are going to be treated and what S.H.I.E.L.D.'s role in that is — and that really does define what this season is going to be," said Loeb, head of Marvel TV. "S.H.I.E.L.D. is now all about finding these new enhanced individuals and deciding what is the best thing for them. And as we have learned, S.H.I.E.L.D. making those decisions isn't always the best thing for them."
