Rombai Gave Me a Sneak Peek of How They Prepare For Their First-Ever Latin AMAs, and I Have Ganitas de Verlos!

This past Summer, we were all surprised by "Ganitas," a song by Rombai that quickly became our jam. Most of us had no idea this band existed, but in reality, they had been working for over five years with incredible success in Uruguay, Chile, and Argentina. This single, however, was about to catapult them to US fame. With its over one billion views on YouTube, people are getting into the Rombai vibe, and today they're performing as the first red carpet act ever at the Latin AMAs.

We caught up with them before the show, and they told us they were extremely excited to be there, because it's also their first time at the award show. "When we found out we were invited to the Latin AMAs, we immediately knew we wanted to personalize our outfits," lead vocalist Fer Vázquez told POPSUGAR. "As you can tell, we added a lot of patches to the sweatshirt and painted Rombai in the back and spray-painted the shoes."

Meanwhile, Megu Bowles, Fer's female counterpart, had an experience that most people can relate to. "I got a little stressed out because I didn't know what to wear," she said. "I went to a lot of stores and bought a lot of clothes to see if I could figure it out, and in the end I found the perfect dress, which you'll see soon!"

We were tipped off that their performance is a must-see, so make sure you catch them on the Latin AMAs red carpet tonight at 7 p.m. on Telemundo.
