See Leaked Photos of the New iPhone

While new iPhone announcements typically arrive in September, leaks and speculation occur in the months leading up to then. The latest rumors from 9to5Mac — a generally reliable source of Apple news — involve photos of the external and internal design of the iPhone 6S.

In the photos, the external look of the new iPhone is pretty much the same as the iPhone 6 and 6+. The new phone appears not to be any larger or thicker. The holes haven't changed either — the speaker, headphone, and lighting connector are still at the bottom of the device. We also know there will be no dual-lens camera (at least not yet) that many hoped the new iPhone would come with.

Internally, however, the iPhone has a completely different mounting system for the logic board and includes a "redesigned wireless system featuring a new Qualcomm-made LTE chip." This means a faster LTE speed and longer battery life. We repeat: longer battery life.

Though we wish we had information of what's to come, September isn't so far away. And at least we know all about the newest iOS system.
