4 Major Sony Movies We Have to Look Forward to on Netflix in 2022

We're only a few months into the year, but Netflix already has big things in store for 2022. On Thursday, the streaming giant announced that all movies released by Sony Pictures will stream exclusively on Netflix after their theatrical releases beginning next year. This, of course, will include Tom Holland's Uncharted and Bullet Train starring Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, and Lady Gaga. The same applies to future sequels like Venom, Jumanji, Bad Boys, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The length of the deal still remains unclear, but the good news is that we'll have plenty of movies to keep us entertained. Keep reading to see what other Sony films will be hitting Netflix in 2022.

Uncharted

Uncharted

Starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, Uncharted is the movie adaptation of the popular video game franchise. The film is directed by Venom's Ruben Fleischer and also stars Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan. Uncharted is currently set to debut on Feb. 18, 2022, after being pushed back from Feb. 11, 2022.

Morbius

Based on the Marvel comics, Morbius is a superhero movie centered on a biochemist who becomes a vampire after attempting to cure himself of a rare blood disease. Jared Leto stars as the titular Michael Morbius alongside Matt Smith, Jared Harris, and Tyrese Gibson. The film was delayed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and is now set to premiere on Oct. 8.

Where the Crawdads Sing

Where the Crawdads Sing is based on Delia Owens's novel of the same name and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones as Kya, a young woman who is left behind by her family and forced to raise herself on a marsh in North Carolina. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "the story is both a crime thriller and a coming-of-age tale that intertwines two timelines." Reese Witherspoon and Hello Sunshine's Lauren Levy Neustadter are producing the film, while Olivia Newman will serve as director. A release date has yet to be announced.

Bullet Train

Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt, and Lady Gaga will all be starring in Bullet Train, an action film based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle by Kotaro Isaka. Plot details are still hazy at the moment and a release date has yet to be announced.
