This Incredible Corn Maze Might Make Old-School Nintendo Fans a Little Emotional

Candy corn, hayrides, corn mazes — these are all the makings of a truly great Fall season. However, one farmer in Newark Valley, NY, is making the last element even greater with a jaw-dropping maze featuring Super Mario's famous characters: Mario, Luigi, Toad, Yoshi, and Princess Peach.

Tim Stoughton, of Stoughton Farm, selects a corn maze theme every year, starting way back in 2005. He told ABC News, "My wife, Deb, decides the theme. She just liked the idea of the Mario brothers because everybody pretty much knows what they are and it'd be fun for the kids to see."

As one might imagine, actually completing the maze is no easy feat. "It's a lot of math," said Stoughton. "We lay it out into grids and then go in and take the corn out where the pathways should be," he added.

According to a Facebook event started by Stoughton Farm, the maze will be open to the public from Sept. 17 to Oct. 31. Entry is free for anyone under 3 years old. Admission prices are then $6 for children 4 to 9 years old, and $9 for anyone 10 years old and up. There are currently more than 1,000 attendees listed on Facebook, but, the farm usually sees 10,000 visitors per year, so it's not too crazy.
