How to Watch Tomorrow's Gorgeous Lyrid Meteor Shower

If you're the person who always sleeps through blood moons, comets, and other astrological events, tonight is your chance to redeem yourself. The Lyrid meteor shower is in full effect, with the most visible meteor streaks scheduled to appear before dawn on Wednesday and Thursday. The meteors will be visible to the naked eye, streaking across the sky at a rate of 15 to 20 per hour during these peak times.

Simply make your way out to a clear, dark area a couple of hours before the sun rises, lay out a blanket, and enjoy the show. City dwellers can watch the event via live stream, which is a good backup option in rural areas, too. So set your alarm, prepare your blankets, and get ready for the glorious shower of comet debris.
