The art of pop culture had a major moment at Comic-Con this year [1], and nowhere was that more visible than The Art of the Geek showcase [2], a gallery exhibition in San Diego presented by Michael J. Wolf Fine Arts. Curated by Lego art master Nathan Sawaya, The Art of the Geek combines a love of comics, superheroes, and sci-fi with some seriously talented creators. Best of all, part of the proceeds benefited the Art Revolution Foundation, a nonprofit organization that gives schools around the country art supplies they couldn't otherwise afford.
Read on to see the Millennium Falcon flying through a most idyllic scene, superheroes on their days off, and a Star Trek heavyweight battling a Star Wars favorite.
