Disney Just Released 3 New Details About the Star Wars Theme Parks

During Disney's television special, Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland at 60, the company once again treated fans to another peek of this epic Star Wars world. Three new photos as well as a clip showed fans what they can expect.

This new information is in addition to Disney's original announcement of opening two different Star Wars lands at both Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, and Disney World in Orlando, FL. That news came out of Disney's annual D23 Expo, where Disney showed off renderings of the new parks as well as short teaser of what fans can expect.

It's the "largest single-themed expansion" with 14 acres devoted to creating these new Star Wars experiences, like a chance to fly in the Millennium Falcon, according to Disney. "These new lands at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will transport guests to a whole new Star Wars planet, including an epic Star Wars adventure that puts you in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance," said Bob Iger, Disney's CEO at D23.

Check out the illustrations of what the theme park is supposed to look like, and get ready to book a flight to either park as soon as an opening date is revealed.
