WHOA — Someone Turned a Burger King Game Boy Toy Into a Real, Working Gadget

Somewhere in the house, your toys from McDonald's and Burger King are probably collecting dust or disposed of already. One fan, however, managed to keep the fake Game Boys Burger King used to hand out and turned one into a tiny, working console.

Reddit user ChaseLambeth shared that he came across the mini Game Boys online and bought the red one (shown in photos) from a guy named Ivan. To make the fake Game Boy run like the real ones, one would have to install a Raspberry Pi Zero (a $5 tiny circuit board that runs like a computer) into it and an emulator called Retro Pie. Sounds tough? ChaseLambeth thought so, revealing that he ended up purchasing his retro Burger King Game Boy for $250 after failing to make one himself.

The mini Game Boys can run Game Boy color and Game Boy advanced programs. Plus, the A and B buttons actually work!
