Apple Announced Its Back-to-School Deal

It's that time of year again — the awesome back-to-school promotions have begun and Apple just upped the playing field. The company announced that it will give away a free pair of Beats Solo2 headphones with any purchase of an Apple computer.

The deal, which begins today in stores and online on Aug. 6, runs through Sept. 18 and only applies if you buy the following products: iMac, MacBook, Macbook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac Pro. If you're not a fan of the pair being given away, you also have an option of getting a credit of $199.95 for a pair of Beats Solo2 Wireless On-Ear headphones, though you'll have to pay the remaining amount of $100.

Remember: you need to purchase the Mac products through the company's educational program, which doesn't just apply to students — faculty members and parents of students are eligible as well. Also to remember: if you decide to return the Apple product, you'll also have to give back the headphones.

This is definitely a bigger deal than the past few years, where Apple gave out a $100 gift card, though we're not too sure the headphones are worth the price anyway, considering the cost to manufacture them is pretty low. Either way, this deal definitely makes it feel like a great time to be a student, right?
